Dr. Joanna Slusky
Dr. Joanna Slusky attended Northwestern University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. Her academic merits include the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society academic honor recognition.
In addition to providing comprehensive eye examinations, Dr. Joanna has a special interest in pediatric vision care, and the management of the anterior segment of adult eyes. Ocular allergy, dry eye, and specialty contact lens care are the emphasis of her vision and ocular health care in our community. Dr. Joanna has been recognized by the leaders of the contact lens industry for her recommendations for the best vision care options for her patients.

Jeimy Feliciano – manager & eyewear consultant
Jeimy is a leader who puts family above all. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, and understands how important customer service is. Being a mother of two, Jeimy has the skill to help the children at Halsted Eye Boutique have a memorable experience, no matter the age! She has been wearing glasses since she was in 6th grade and contacts since high school, thus has helpful tips for first time wearers. She is a native Spanish speaker.
Marina Velelekos – eyewear consultant
Marina moved back to Chicago, Illinois from Thessaloniki, Greece when she was 9 years old. After attending college for general education, she decided to take a year off and travel through Europe. She is currently majoring in Health Care Administration. Because of her adventurous life, Marina has proven to be a risk taker, thus making her perfect to take you out of your comfort zone in glasses and into something new and fun! She is fluent Greek.
Michel Uribe – eyewear consultant
Michel is a Chicago born native who joined our practice bringing with her 15 years of experience. Her expertise with industry standards, execute the excellence in eyewear. Her knowledge and fashion sense adds to her exceptional customer service. Michel’s love of optometry is shown with each and every customer as she educates them about the importance of quality eye wear. She is a devoted wife of seven years, she also enjoys biking and pilates in her spare time. Michel is fluent in spanish.
